In Loving Memory of Joe

Earlier this week, our dear friend Joe Talbert tragically lost his life in Norway. All of us who had the privilege of knowing Joe's magical self are better because of Joe's contagious joy, stunning smile and inspiring work. Hannah and Ely, along with countless family members, friends, colleagues, and community members are heartbroken at this loss.

This fundraiser was not created at Hannah’s request. Rather, it was created because so many people have reached out asking, “What can we do?”

No action can lessen the depth of this grief and we recognize that Hannah may not even see this page for months, and we expect nothing of her.

As friends who love Joe, Hannah, and Ely we wanted a place where our collective love could take tangible form. For many of us, contributing is simply one way to say, We are here. We love you. You are not carrying this alone.

Any funds raised will be available to Hannah and Ely to use however and whenever they choose, whether to help ease unexpected financial burdens in the months and years ahead or to create a tribute to honor Joe’s extraordinary magical life.

Joe’s kindness, generosity, humor, and steady presence has impacted so many and his contributions to making this earth a better place will continue to ripple through our lives forever.
