Joseph Melendez, my 28-year-old son, was killed by a 24-year-old female drunk driver early Saturday morning in Melville, NY. Leaving his 7-year-old son Giovanni without a father, his mother without a son, and his 4 siblings without his contagious smile and unforgettable laugh. Joe was the life of the party, the friend you needed the most, with the biggest heart. "Joe is Joe," as I always say.
