On Thursday September 26th, at 8:50pm, my Dad, Joe Hernandez passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Cottage Hospital.

My Dad entered the hospital a week prior due to not feeling well. We thought that my dad would be leaving the hospital at some point. However, due to the nature of my dad's illness, there was nothing they could do for him at that time. My Dad began to decline fast, despite multiple blood transfusions. The treatments were unsuccessful and end of life care was the best option at the time. Despite the news that my dad only had a few days left with us, he fought hard and and held on as long as he could, as he always did.

Many people have asked how they can help during this time and due to my dad not having had the proper things in order, we have created this gofundme to give my dad the proper services he deserves. If you cannot give in this capacity, prayers are still needed and very much appreciated.

My dad will be deeply missed and we appreciate all the love and support thus far from all who have been supporting and reaching out.
