Our beloved Joan Hayles Romain went home to be with the Lord on July 13, 2025 after 62 years of illuminating our world with her warm, welcoming smile and conversation. Joan was a woman of many talents and a passionate love of science, but unfortunately due to limiting medical conditions, Joan retired young and could no longer support herself or her only daughter. Joan's daughter is presently raising two young boys under the age of six alone on an army base while her husband is abroad on deployment. We are looking to honor Joan by raising funds to create a gift to give her daughter as a comfort to her and to help meet at least some needs while she and Joan's grandsons mourn the irreplaceable loss of a mother and grandmother.
