Our family has been deeply touched by the love and support shown during this heartbreaking week. We created this fund in honor of Jimmy to help with his final expenses and the many costs that come with the end of life of a loved one.

Jimmy and Sharon were both on Social Security, but Jimmy’s monthly benefit made up the larger portion of their household income. His November payment had already been deposited into their bank account, and after he passed, Social Security pulled the entire amount back — leaving her with almost nothing to get through the coming weeks. With his sudden passing, that support ended immediately, leaving a significant financial gap for the home he helped provide.

While this fundraiser is primarily to assist with Jimmy’s final arrangements, any additional support will help Sharon manage the transition ahead — costs that Jimmy would have continued to help her with if he were still here. Our family will contribute as much as we can, but in times like these, the need often exceeds what one family can shoulder alone.

We weren’t originally planning to set up a fundraiser, but the circumstances have left few options, and we want to ensure Jimmy’s arrangements are handled properly and that Sharon has the stability she needs as she faces life without him.
