In Honor of Jim Wiegand. We Miss You.

Support for the Wiegand family — in loving memory of Jimmy “Jim” Alan Wiegand.

On Monday, June 30th, our lives were forever changed with the unexpected and heartbreaking passing of Jim Wiegand. He was a light whose radiance shone for everyone around him and a rock that always stood tall and mighty for anyone to lean on when they grew weary and needed a rest.

June 30th was just a normal Monday morning, Jim was driving home from his yearly doctor’s appointment when he had an unexpected and severe heart attack that would cause him to lose consciousness. His car would end up rolling two times before coming to a stop in a nearby parking lot, nobody else was hurt or injured in the accident and he was immediately rushed to the city hospital. Jimmy would then fight for two hours in intensive care, a constant battle to try and keep a steady pulse. Eventually, his heart couldn’t handle any more stress and Jimmy passed painlessly, age 59.

Jim was the beloved father of three children, Chris, Brian, and Allison. A caring husband to the love of his life, Carmel Wiegand, and a dutiful son to his mother, Geneva Mastel. He was also a strong brother to his siblings Dwayne, Richard, Ronald, and Sharon, along with many more friends and family. Jimmy loved making people smile, loved hearing their laughter. He would often host karaoke get togethers because he knew everyone would point and laugh at each other’s terrible singing. He was the kind of guy that would have a barbecue on every holiday so that everyone always had somewhere to go. Most importantly, Jim was the kind of man that would always text his stepson, Sean, to thank him every time he visited, because it always made his mom happy when he did. And that’s what he really loved, to see his wife happy.

His sudden passing has left a hole in many hearts and forever changed the course of many lives. This fundraiser is solely dedicated to helping his family during this devastating time and will be used to cover hospital bills, funeral arrangements, and any other financial burdens.

If you are able to contribute, please know that any amount, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference. And whether you can give or not, please help us by sharing this page and keeping Carmel, Sean, Brian, Chris, Allison, and the whole Wiegand family in your prayers.

Jim’s memory lives on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the beautiful family he left behind. Thank you for helping us honor his legacy by lifting up the people he loved most.
