On March 12, 2025, we lost a man whose words and actions impacted many lives. Whether "Papa Jim", "Pastor Jim", just "Jim", or "Dad" & "Papa", Norman James Viduya will be remembered as someone who helped others in many ways. Many people I have talked to over the years told stories of how Jim would be there when they need him, sometimes in a moment's notice, to fix or handle whatever crisis that they were experiencing. Whether a down compressor at a friend's tire shop (no compressor = no tools = no auto repair service for paying customers), or late night counseling over the phone or in person (when someone's life seemed to be shattering at the moment), Jim was there. Sometimes, as Pastors, Jim and his wife, Barbara, would be in their office with members of his church, talking and praying over whatever they needed. Some times, Jim & Barbara even stopped what they were doing to marry a young couple, who "just couldn't wait any longer". Jim's impact, whether great or small, might have only changed someone's life for that moment, but sometimes that moment is when they needed it the most, to carry on to tomorrow.
Unfortunately, Jim departed this Earth 3/12/25, peacefully at his home. His wife, Barbara, and his children were there. As many know, funerals are expensive. The Viduya family is asking that, in lieu of any flowers or other gifts of comfort, please consider a donation to assist in off-setting upfront costs. Jim insisted on a humble, simple burial, but of course even this has a price. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Those who knew Jim know the impact he had on those around him. He will be missed.
On behalf of Barbara Viduya, Craig Viduya, Marjorie Elaine Viduya-Garcia,
Thank you
Jon Viduya
