Jerry David "JD" Fleming, a devoted father, son, and husband, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2025, at the age of 46 due to an automobile accident, while coming home from work. Born on January 28, 1979, in Burke County, Jerry was known for his loving nature and deep commitment to his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Crystal, and his cherished daughter, Sara Fleming "Short Stack" and his step children Hannah and Samuel. Jerry's parents, Bruce and Jean Fleming, along with his paternal grandmother, Iris Fleming, also mourn his passing.

Jerry's love for music was profound, with a particular fondness for the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley. His passion for life was evident in all he did, and he brought joy to those around him.

The funds raised through this campaign will first be used to pay funeral expenses. Any funds raised in excess of those needed for funeral expenses will be provided to Jerry's beneficiaries namely his daughter Sara.
