Our mom Jeri Griffith passed away on Feb 15. She had been sick with pneumonia and passed away in her sleep. It was unexpected, and our family is reeling.
Those of you who knew Mom know she was unapologetically her own person. She was a seeker her whole life, and we hope she has found some peace now.
Mom was on Social Security and didn't have any life insurance. She shared all the money she had and didn't leave much behind. As I'm sure you know, funerals can be expensive. Some of our wonderful, generous friends and family have asked how they can help. If you feel inclined to contribute, we would so appreciate your help. All initial fundraising will go to the cost of the celebration of life, with any leftover going towards settling her estate debts. If you'd like to contribute another way, feel free to reach out to any of the siblings (Graham, Amber, Summer, Aisha) directly.
Or if you want to honor mom a different way, in lieu of flowers please contribute to a local organization that supports social justice, mutual aid, or mental health. My mom, especially near the end, really felt best when she was helping those who were struggling.
We've appreciated all your kind words and wishes at this difficult time. In any way you've shown us support, we see you.
Thank you and we love you.
Summer, Amber, Graham, Aisha
