Our amazing friend, Katie Doll, suddenly lost her soulmate, Jennifer Day, on Saturday, December 13th. Katie and Jennifer started a new chapter in their life together in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina in 2022 after Jennifer retired.

Jennifer was a dedicated servant of her community in North Texas as a police officer and sergeant for more than 26 years. Upon moving to North Carolina, Jennifer spent time volunteering at a local animal rescue and really loved her time protecting the elk with Luftee Rovers at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Their engagement in the community continued in 2024 after Hurricane Helene devastated North Carolina. Jennifer and Katie joined hundreds of others, as supplies arrived, to ensure everything was safely offloaded and prepared for distribution to those in need.

We are asking for your help honoring Jennifer by donating to fund a scholarship being established in her name at Western Carolina University for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. This scholarship will help future police officers achieve the dream that Jennifer was able to live, in the profession she was so proud to be part of.
