My mom, Jen, was a single mom and I am her only daughter. Her passing was sudden and unexpected, and I am still in disbelief. Jen was such a light in everybody’s life—always there, ready to help, and able to make everyone laugh. She loved me more than anything in this world, and after so many medical issues over the last two years, we thought the hospital visits were finally coming to an end. Instead, we are now facing this heartbreaking loss.

Jen was not just a wonderful mom, but also a great sister, friend, daughter, aunt, niece, and cousin. She touched so many lives with her kindness, humor, and strength. We are going to miss her greatly, and it’s hard to imagine life without her. I want to do everything I can to honor her memory and make sure she is laid to rest with the love and dignity she deserves.
