On the morning of December 19 my father, Jeff Hamblin, woke up like every other day. My brother and I were there. Nothing was different, Everything normal. He woke up talked to his long life best friend on the phone and proceeded to get ready to go to town to have breakfast with him same as every other day. I helped him to his truck, helped him get the door open as it was froze shut, he thanked me and we said our Goodbyes. Little did I know this would be the last time anyone would ever speak to my dad again. He left his house and didn’t make it a quarter mile down the road before he suffered an aneurysm rupturing in his brain causing him to wreck. As this is so unexpected my father had no life insurance and the only instructions he has ever told us about is when he passed he wanted to be laid to rest in his birthplace of southern Kentucky, lying on top of the mountain in the pasture beside his own father. We are asking for help paying for the funeral, burial, and travel cost to fulfill his final wishes. Anything would be greatly appreciated and it makes it that much harder being so close to Christmas. We thank you all during this difficult time!

UPDATE: after us all talking as a family and trying to make arrangements, it has come to our attention that he told one of us not long ago that he would like for his kids and grandkids to be able to visit him regularly after he has passed and mentioned burial here. But none of us thought this would ever happen so we didn’t give it much thought at the time. So we have changed the plans of a Kentucky burial and the funeral and burial will now be held here in Ohio. Again we are beyond grateful and blessed with the amount of support and outreach that we have received over the last 24 hrs and want to thank each and every one of you!!!
