Jeff was an avid runner and our family loves to be outside. Throughout most of Jeff’s cancer journey, he continued to run regularly. We would walk/run/bike more days of the week than not - almost always as a family. Our family finds much comfort in this tradition. Jeff had several running loops around Rocklin that all had special names that he and the kids came up with. In honor of his valiant journey with cancer and his devotion to running, we would like to honor his life by donating a bench and tree along one of his favorite trails, as part of the Commemorative Bench and Tree Program through the City of Rocklin. The cost for the bench is $2,500 and a tree is $300 (per the City of Rocklin website). In order to cover the cost and associated fees, we are hoping to raise $3,000. If we do raise more than what’s required for the bench and tree, any excess will go to Jeff’s favorite charity, the Me-One Foundation - www.me-onefoundation.org. Our family had a wonderful experience at the Me-One Foundation’s Camp Weiser for families fighting cancer. It means a lot to us to give back to this extraordinary organization.
