Honoring Jazz: A Warrior's Farewell

This is the hardest post I will ever make. My baby, my best friend, my heart, my ride or die, the person that showed me how to love and receive it, JazzLupus Strong JazzLupus Strong Jazz LoveNobody. It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beautiful baby girl!

My daughter went into cardiac arrest while she was in New York. Unfortunately, her brain went without oxygen for 45 min and she had no pulse. When EMS showed up and we finally got a pulse, she was put in the ICU and was intubated. She hasn’t woke up since the cardiac arrest. They are declaring her brain dead and now it’s time for me to make some hard decisions.

I know you have been through a lot over the last 10 years. You fought a great fight, baby girl, like the warrior you will always be. You never gave up and always smiled through all the pain. You have been a blessing in everyone’s life and a bright light through everyone’s darkness. Your smile has always been infectious and I’m going to miss that. You are loved! You are my angel. You are my guiding light and now you are my protector.

I know this is going to come as a sudden shock to so many but believe me, it shook me the most. Please don’t overwhelm me as I’m still processing & digesting this information myself.

Do not weep of sadness as she is no longer suffering & in pain. She was a fighter every day of her life & woke up every day with newfound strength ready for the world. You will always be with me in my heart and soul..
