Jaylou Marlenne Pineda Lopez, 22, of La Romana, Dominican Republic, passed away tragically in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Jaylou immigrated to the United States in March of 2025 hoping for a better future for her young family. That dream kept her motivated as she worked diligently in retail and hospitality to provide for her beloved daughter back home in DR.

She is survived by her three-year-old daughter Nairelys Sophia; her partner, Naibel; her mother, Jordania; her father, Rijo, her cherished grandparents Marcelina and Francisco; her aunts Lennys and Ramona; her siblings, including Adriana and Adrian; and many dear cousins and other loved ones who will always miss her.

Jaylou was a skilled Nail Technician whose creativity and passion shined in her work. She earned a high school diploma in La Romana.

Jaylou loved to laugh. She was sarcastic and had a dark sense of humor. She enjoyed romantic music, loved watching Stanger Things, and Bad Bunny was her favorite.

Jaylou was a sweet girl who loved her family and adored her daughter.
