Honoring Jay Whaley: Support His Widow

My name is Joshua Coffey and I'm raising money after the unexpected passing of my stepfather, Jay Whaley.

After a lifetime of near misses, Jay and my mom finally started dating in the summer of 2010 and married 5 months later. They built their lives together focused on camping, visiting the lake, cruising around the Caribbean, trying new restaurants, and spending time with their family and friends.

Anyone who was blessed to know Jay would agree that he was the life of the party, a force of positivity and levity that was bound to raise any spirit. Whether you were losing to him in cards, pool, washers, or even a drinking contest, you wanted to keep playing because even losing to Jay was a good time.

While Jay had been struggling with medical issues over the last few years, this occurrence came so fast and felt out of nowhere, shocking the family and leaving us all shattered.
