Jeromy — everyone knew him as Jay — was my husband, my best friend, and the love of my life. We married on October 6, 2017, and he stepped in to help raise my two children, McKenzi and Hagen, as his very own. He loved us fiercely and made us a family. Jay lived more life than most people could fit into three lifetimes. He was a craftsman, welder, cattleman, auctioneer, rodeo clown, and so much more — but his true calling was ministry. After being led to Christ in the early 2000s, he became an ordained minister and founded the Heart of Texas Cowboy Church out of the Waco Sale Barn. He understood that a lot of folks who needed the Word would never walk into a traditional church, so he brought it to them. From those humble beginnings, that ministry grew into the thriving church family it is today. He also served his country in the Texas Air National Guard and gave his heart to missions in Tanzania and to the homeless in Kansas.

In December 2020, Jay became ill with COVID, and over the next five years his health steadily declined. Through every trial, he never stopped serving God, his family, and his community. He remained a servant of the Lord until his final breath on July 27, 2026, with his family by his side. We are now facing the costs of laying Jay to rest and honoring the life he lived.
