Friends and loved ones, it is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Janice Lorraine (Jenifer) Boone. She left us shortly after being taken by ambulance to the ER, following a long and courageous battle with illness. Janice's spirit and special light shined always, capturing hearts even when she couldn’t speak. Her medical team became like family, encouraging us to keep her at home after each hospitalization, and we were incredibly blessed to have her in our lives.

Janice was more than a beloved mother and grandmother—she was a pillar of the community. For 20 years, she worked as a lighting and media tech for funerals and morning services at First Baptist Church of Highland Park, Landover, Maryland. She was a tireless advocate for single moms, providing free lawn care and before-and-after school care for their children for 15 years. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched countless lives. As a mother of four and grandmother of three, she was loved and respected by all who knew her.

We are now facing the significant expenses of her funeral and burial. We want to honor Janice’s memory and legacy in a way that reflects the love she gave to so many. We are reaching out to our friends, loved ones, and the community for support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us give Janice the farewell she deserves.
