Honoring Janet: A Legacy of Care for George
For decades, if you knew George, you knew a man who never sat still. Whether he was fixing a neighbor’s fence, cutting their grass, lending a tool, or being the first to show up when someone was in a pinch, George lived a life of action and generosity. He was the person we all leaned on.
Today, George is facing his toughest battle yet. A severe stroke has left him paralyzed on his right side and unable to speak. The man who was always the first to check in on others now requires constant, 24-hour care and intensive biweekly physical therapy to maintain his quality of life.
A Heartbreaking Loss ~
Amidst this challenging recovery, our family has suffered an unimaginable blow. Janet, George’s devoted wife and the anchor of their home, recently passed away following a stroke of her own. Janet’s greatest devotion was her family. Her final wish—and George’s as well—was simple but profound: to remain in their home.
How You Can Help ~
In lieu of traditional flowers or memorial gifts for Janet, we are asking for contributions to go toward support for George.
Honoring Janet means honoring the person she loved most. By contributing, you are helping us fulfill her final wish .... keeping George safe, cared for, and supported in the comfort of his own home. Your donations will go directly toward:
24/7 In-Home Caregiving assistance ensuring George is not alone.
Physical Therapy providing the specialized treatment he needs to regain strength.
Essential Medical Expenses covering the mounting costs of specialized equipment and daily care needs.
A Meaningful Tribute ~
George spent his life helping his friends and neighbors. Janet spent hers devoted to her family’s well-being. By supporting George, we are keeping the spirit of their generosity alive.
Even if you cannot donate, please consider sharing this story. Every gesture of kindness brings George one step closer to the stability and dignity Janet would have wanted for him.
Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your support during this challenging time.
