On behalf of the family of Jamie Novick, we are heartbroken to share the devastating loss of an extraordinary wife, mother, friend, and nurse who was killed in the line of duty while serving her community as a flight nurse.

Before becoming a flight nurse, Jamie spent five years working as an emergency department nurse, where she cared for patients and families during some of the most critical moments of their lives. She was known for her compassion, strength, quick thinking, and unwavering dedication to her patients and coworkers. Emergency medicine was not simply Jamie’s job — it was her calling.

Driven by her passion for critical care and helping others, Jamie went on to become a flight nurse, continuing to serve patients in their most urgent moments with courage and selflessness. Tragically, Jamie lost her life in a plane crash while doing the work she loved and answering the call to care for others.

Jamie leaves behind her loving husband, Ryan, and their two beautiful children, Leena and Josh, who now face an unimaginable future without their wife and mother. While no amount of money can ease the pain of this loss, we hope to help relieve the financial burdens the family will face in the difficult days, months, and years ahead.
