- My name is Amanda. My beautiful momma just lost the love of her life and best friend. So, my sister-in-law and I just thought we would start a GoFundMe for her. As we all know, times are tough right now. My step-dad James passed away too early. Even though he had a lot of health issues, he still worried over everyone else. I guess that's why they made such a great couple. James and Mom met in high school and even went to prom together. And I'm sure they both thought that would be the end of their story. Nope. Years later, they rekindled. They really had a one-of-a-kind relationship. They would add all their bills up together each month and split the cost. I never saw them fight. I'm sure their neighbors thought they fought constantly because James had bad hearing, but he hated those hearing aids, so we all just got used to going around screaming at him lol. I believe James helped bring us all closer together. My mom raised us close anyway, but he helped build it stronger. Most of the time, when your family has a get-together, everyone's in a hurry to leave after the food's been eaten. Not with Mom and James. We all had so much fun. We still have the memories to share together, but my mom has the bills by herself. So, this is why we wanted to do this for her, so she could have some peace.
