Paying tribute to Jamal Perry
Donation protected
We are a collective group of parents who have been fortunate to experience the endless love and care of our children’s pre-K teacher, Ms. Shirlene Jones. Ms. Jones has cared for our babies—as though they were her own—nurturing them in a way only the most devoted teacher can. We are therefore especially heartbroken to learn of the sudden passing of Ms. Jones' only child, Jamal.
On Sunday, April 10, 2022, Jamal Perry died very unexpectedly, leaving behind an unimaginable void. A beloved son, father, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, Jamal will be missed dearly by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
While we recognize that very little can be done to ease the inevitable pain that exists at this time, we feel called to show our support to our children’s beloved teacher—and now also our dear friend—Ms. Shirlene Jones.
No mother should ever have to bury her child, let alone her only child.
For this reason, we set up this fund in an attempt to remove some of the financial burden that naturally will accompany a tragic loss like this one. All funds raised will be given to Ms. Jones for immediate needs related to the burial of Jamal and any other related costs of the moment. Every little bit will make a difference.
We've felt Ms. Shirlene Jones' love for our own children and can not imagine the pain and grief that she is experiencing now with the sudden loss of her son Jamal. Our hearts break for her and her family during this extremely difficult time and we ask you to do what you can to show your support. Every little bit makes a huge difference.
We thank you for your generous support—and for showing up when it matters most!
