Honoring Isaac Salceda's Bright Spirit

Donation protected
In loving memory of Isaac Salceda of Hayward, California, who earned his heavenly wings on January 10th, 2025. To say that he is survived by his parents, Ignacio and Lupita Salceda, and brother, Ismael Salceda, isn’t enough; he is survived by everyone who loved him.

Isaac was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed. Born on November 24th, 2010, at Kaiser Permanente in Hayward, Isaac leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and warmth that touched everyone he encountered.

Isaac's passion for outdoor adventures and spending time with family was evident from a young age. His infectious smile could light up any room, and, although he was a bit shy at times, his genuine spirit welcomed others into his world with open arms. He was a dedicated student, excelling in his studies first at Harder Elementary School, then at St John's Catholic Church. Isaac had a naturally curious mind and was interested in all that science had to offer.

Throughout his life, Isaac loved to spend time with his family. Whether they were out in nature hiking, going for bike rides, or hanging out at someone's house, Isaac enjoyed being with his family. He was a good son, brother, cousin, nephew, and grandson. No matter what his family was up to, Isaac always wanted to be with them.

Isaac also enjoyed Legos, Star Wars, and video games. He loved playing Minecraft ("a good game to play with friends" as he described it) in addition to other games on PC, Playstation 5 and VR (Virtual Reality). Like a true fan, Isaac enjoyed all the Star Wars movies and shows, and even built his own lightsaber when he visited Disneyland in November of 2024. In addition to lightsabers, Isaac also enjoyed building Lego structures, often times with his father Ignacio and brother Ismael.

In January of 2023, Isaac was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, which is is a type of cancer that begins as a growth of cells in the bones and the soft tissue around the bones. Beginning when he was only 12 years old, he bravely went through extensive process of chemotherapy treatment and eventually a major surgery. Throughout his entire journey, Isaac faced every obstacle that he came up against with fierce determination

This GoFundMe page is set up to assist with funeral and Celebration of Life expenses. Your support and contributions are greatly appreciated as we honor Isaac's memory.

Thank you for keeping Isaac's spirit alive and for being a part of his journey. Let us come together to celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the impact he had on everyone he met. Isaac's light will forever shine bright in our hearts
