Early morning on February 25th, I lost the love of my life. My partner, Alexander Rodriguez-Padilla — My Indica — passed away, and I honestly don’t know how to put into words what this kind of pain feels like. Everything feels heavier. Quieter. Different. Indica wasn’t just my partner. They were my safe place. My best friend. My home.
If you knew Indica, you know how special they were. You know their laugh. You know how they could walk into a room and somehow make it brighter. They were always laughing, always ready to have a good time, always supporting and cheering everyone else on. That’s just who they were. They loved loudly. They showed up fully. They made people feel seen. Indica wasn’t just loved — they were cherished. They had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories. Whether it was through their humor, their kindness, or simply their presence, they left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know them.
Right now, as I try to navigate this unimaginable loss, I am asking for help to give Indica the farewell they deserve. This fundraiser will go directly toward covering funeral and memorial expenses, allowing us to honor their life with the dignity and love that reflects who they were. If you are able to donate, share, or even simply keep us in your thoughts, it means more than I can express. Thank you for loving Indica. Thank you for helping us celebrate a life that brought so much light into this world. They will forever live in our hearts.
