Our "Tamale Guy" family is heartbroken. On Sunday, May 17, 10-year-old Iker Paredes tragically lost his life in a car accident while returning home from soccer practice. Iker was a bright 4th grader at Talcott Fine Arts Academy and a star player for Chicago City Soccer Club, where he and his brother recently earned scholarships. He dreamed of being a professional athlete and was deeply loved by his teammates and teachers. His father is a dedicated member of our team at The Tamale Guy Chicago. As this hardworking immigrant family faces unimaginable grief, we are rallying to support them.

Donations will go directly to Iker’s parents for memorial and cremation expenses, medical bills for the family’s recovery, and urgent living expenses while they grieve and support their surviving son.
