Supporting the Frye Family After the Tragic Loss of Ian Frye
Early Sunday morning, the Frye family experienced an unimaginable loss. Ian Frye was tragically taken in a car accident, leaving behind his loving wife, Shelby, and their four children, Madison, Abbey, Bay, and Julian.
Ian was a devoted and loving father who cherished his family deeply. He was also incredibly excited to begin a new chapter of his life as a grandfather. Ian and Shelby had recently welcomed their first grandchild, Grayson, born to their son Bay and my sister, Trinity. Ian was so excited to be a grandfather and to experience this new role with his family.
Music was another enormous part of Ian’s life. Ian was a gifted piano player whose love for music began at a young age and continued throughout his life. In 2024, he turned that passion into something he could share with others by opening his own studio, Heathens Music Lab.
For Ian, music was much more than playing an instrument. He was passionate about bringing people together through music and helping others discover their own abilities. He taught people of all ages and encouraged them to explore piano, guitar, drums, and other instruments. He was also a part of multiple jam bands and found joy in creating music alongside other people.
Ian had a gift for making music feel accessible and meaningful to others. Through his teaching, performing, and his studio, he created a place where people could learn, grow, create, and share in something he loved so deeply.
Now, his family is faced with an unimaginable loss and the sudden financial responsibilities that come with losing a husband and father. We are asking our family, friends, community, and anyone who feels moved to help come together to support Shelby and the children during this incredibly difficult time.
Donations will help with funeral and memorial expenses, household bills, and other immediate financial needs as the family navigates life without Ian.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser can be just as meaningful. Every share, donation, kind word, and prayer is a way of surrounding the Frye family with love and reminding them that they don’t have to face this alone.
Ian leaves behind not only his wife, children, and new grandson, but also countless people whose lives he touched through his love of music, teaching, friendship, and family.
Thank you for helping us honor Ian’s life and support Shelby, Madison, Abbey, Bay, Julian, and baby Grayson as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
