My brother and I are disabled combat veterans of the U.S. Air Force. We both enlisted after graduation from high school, after 9/11 happened. We disregarded the aspirations we had for our futures to instead, fight the global war on terrorism for our beloved America - the greatest country on Earth. I served six years as a Special Forces Pararescueman. I served two tours in the Iraq War. My brother served 10 years as an Aircraft Pneudraulics Systems Craftsman. He served 2 tours in the Iraq War and 3 tours in the Afghanistan War. We both separated from the military with combat PTSD. Since then, every day has been a struggle in our attempts to adjust back to normal civilian life again. We gladly accept this struggle and would never take it back for it was worth it. Unfortunately, we both suffered near fatal injuries that rendered us both a 2% chance of survival during our journey of transitioning from war fighting warriors to normal civilians. Miraculously, we both have made full recoveries only by the grace of our wonderful God. We are forever grateful for His great blessing of our survival. As you can imagine, we are left with extremely expensive medical bills which accrued during our lengthy hospital stays. We are doing everything we can to payoff our medical bills, but unfortunately the debt far exceeds what we can afford to pay off ourselves. We desperately want to make sure that we pay off every bit we owe to the medical procedures and personnel that are the very reason we are alive today. We are beyond grateful to all the doctors and nurses that worked tirelessly to ensure our full recovery. Any amount of donation helps, even if it is a penny for your thoughts. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
