Help Us Give Hermina Francois the Memorial She Deserves
My name is Chard, and I’m heartbroken to share that my beloved mother, Hermina Francois, passed away on June 1, 2025, due to sudden complications from leukemia. She was only recently diagnosed in November 2024 during what was supposed to be a routine doctor’s appointment. What we thought would be a simple visit turned our entire world upside down.
After being diagnosed with leukemia, the doctors recommended immediate treatment, and she was admitted to the hospital. She stayed for three long months, enduring intense treatments and unimaginable discomfort. When she was finally discharged in February, she came home weak and on strict bed rest. She had lost a lot of weight and couldn’t return to work. Still, she never gave up hope.
Slowly but surely, she began regaining her strength—going on walks, cooking again, spending time with friends and family. We started to see glimmers of her old self. She even began running errands and returning for regular checkups with a smile.
But on May 30th, everything changed again. At a routine appointment, her doctors noticed her blood levels were dangerously low. She needed a transfusion. Sadly, she had a severe reaction to the blood and became unresponsive shortly afterward. She was rushed to the ICU. Despite all efforts to save her, she passed away two days later due to bleeding in her brain.
My mother was everything to me. She was beautiful, kind, compassionate, and full of life. She loved deeply and treated everyone with respect. Her death has left an unbearable void in our lives—and now, we’re also facing the painful reality of planning her funeral without the financial means to give her the farewell she truly deserves.
We are humbly asking for your help to raise $15,000 to cover funeral and burial costs. If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this page means just as much.
Thank you for helping us honor Hermina’s memory.
