Honoring Henry Mitchell’s Memory
Donation protected
My name is Annie, and I’m raising funds to honor my dad, Henry Dewayne Mitchell, who went missing eight months ago. Henry is 68 years old and has always been the heart of our family and community. He was the kind of person who was always on the move, helping others—whether it was fixing a neighbor’s car, giving someone a ride to an appointment, or just spending time with his grandkids. He loved animals and always had a house full of dogs, each one treated like family. My dad is my hero, and he taught me everything I know about kindness and generosity.
The last place Henry was seen was up in the mountains, where he was chopping wood for people in town as winter approached. That spot means so much to us because it’s the last place he was physically present, surrounded by his truck, chainsaws, coat, and overalls. It’s likely the place closest to where he might still be, though we have no evidence to prove it. We want to place large crosses at that spot, each bearing his name, dates, and a message: “Beloved Dad, Grandpa (PoPo), Brother, Uncle, Husband—taken far too soon.”
We’re also hoping to place a headstone with his name, birthday, and the day he went missing in our family cemetery. This will give our family and friends a place to remember him and honor his life, even as we continue to hope for answers. The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing the crosses and headstone, and I will be handling all arrangements. Any support means the world to us as we try to bring some peace and remembrance to our family during this difficult time.
