In Loving Memory of Hector Jimenez — Help Us Bring Him Home ️
On August 3rd, our beloved (uncle, brother, son, father) Hector Jimenez, age 61, was tragically killed when he was struck by a vehicle while riding his yellow tricycle in Metolius, Oregon. It was broad daylight, around 5pm, when his life was suddenly taken from us. He passed unexpectedly, leaving his family devastated and unprepared for what now lies ahead.
Hector was a positive, respectful, and uplifting presence in the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a way of lifting people up and making them feel seen. His warmth and spirit touched his family and everyone who crossed his path, and his absence leaves a hole that words can’t fill—a bright light.
Our family is now faced with the difficult task of covering cremation and related expenses in the Portland, Oregon area, and we are working against a tight timeline — we need to have this resolved by Friday evening, August 7. We are asking for your support — whatever you’re able to give — to help us give Hector a proper and dignified farewell.
Our goal is $5,000, which will go toward:
- Cremation services
- Transportation of remains to Portland
- Death certificate and paperwork fees
- Memorial gathering to honor his memory at the local Seventh Day Adventist Church in Madras, Oregon.
Any amount helps, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity, prayers, and support during this incredibly painful time. Thank you for helping us honor Hector’s life and the light he brought into the world.
With love and gratitude,
The Jimenez Family
