Our family is heartbroken as we share the devastating loss of our beloved uncle, Hector Estrada, lovingly known to many of us as Meme. Earlier this month, Hector was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer unexpectedly, and in what feels like an unimaginable turn of events, he passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The loss has left an emptiness in our hearts that words cannot fully describe.

Hector, or Meme as we all called him, was so much more than an uncle - he was a bright light in our family. He had a contagious sense of humor and a way of making everyone laugh, even during the hardest times. He was the chef of our family, always in the kitchen preparing meals that brought everyone together. Many of our most cherished memories are around the table with Meme cooking, joking, and making sure everyone felt loved and cared for. His warm heart, generosity, and beautiful spirit made him truly unforgettable.

He leaves behind his loving husband, Mark Haupt, and their son, Hector Daniel Estrada. Hector and Mark shared a beautiful life together for 27 years and rarely spent a day apart. Their love and partnership were something truly special, filled with loyalty, laughter, and deep devotion. Losing him has left an unimaginable void in their lives.

During this incredibly painful time, Mark and Hector Daniel are not only grieving the loss of someone who meant everything to them, but they are also facing the financial burdens that come with funeral services and everyday bills. We are asking for support to help ease this heavy burden so they can focus on healing and honoring Meme’s memory.
