My name is Joey Goodman, and I am reaching out for help to honor my big brother, Harold Lightfeather. Many knew him as Benny Boy, and his Indian name was Shining Star. On the 15th of this month, Harold joined the spirit world, leaving behind a legacy of love and connection in our community. He always called Minneapolis his home, and it was here that he built lasting friendships and memories.

I want to give Harold the proper burial he deserves. My hope is to hold a service here in Minneapolis, where he felt most at home, and then bring him back to Keshena, Wisconsin, where he was born. I believe it is only right to return him to his roots and honor his journey in both places that meant so much to him.

The funds raised will help cover travel expenses, provide food for those attending the services, and allow us to rent a place to keep him overnight. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us come together as a community to celebrate Harold’s life and legacy.
