Honoring Guillermo: Help Lay Him to Rest

My father Guillermo Miranda passed away on May 11 2024. In early April he was rushed to the Emergency Room at Pomona Valley Hospital because he had a sharp pain in his stomach. My dad had been hiding this pain from us for weeks. Bloodwork showed my dad had terminal cancer that spread to his kidneys, intestines, and liver. After a long battle for his life at the hospital, his body finally gave out. Our family is hoping for donations to finally lay his body to rest. He is our hero. He chose to stay at the hospital to fight until his organs responded to medicine over hospice.

Mi padre Guillermo Miranda falleció el 11 de mayo de 2024. A principios de abril lo llevaron de urgencia a la Sala de Emergencias del Hospital Pomona Valley porque tenía un dolor agudo en el estómago. Mi papá nos había estado ocultando este dolor durante semanas. Los análisis de sangre mostraron que mi padre tenía un cáncer terminal que se extendió a los riñones, los intestinos y el hígado. Después de una larga batalla por su vida en el hospital, su cuerpo finalmente se rindió. Nuestra familia espera donaciones para finalmente dejar descansar su cuerpo. Él es nuestro héroe. Eligió quedarse en el hospital para luchar hasta que sus órganos respondieran a los medicamentos en lugar de los cuidados paliativos.
