In Loving Memory of Grace Woods (1932–2025)

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Grace Woods, who departed this life peacefully on April 24, 2024, at the age of 93.

My mother, Grace Woods, lived a long, beautiful life filled with love, wisdom, and kindness. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and unwavering strength, and her legacy of compassion and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her. Whether through her dedication to her family, her generosity to friends and neighbors, or her quiet support during life’s challenges.

Grace was a guiding light to so many.

As we grieve her loss and prepare to celebrate her life, we are reaching out to our community for support. This fundraiser has been created to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as any final arrangements needed to honor Grace in the thoughtful, dignified way she deserves.

My name is Emmanuel Good, but many of you know me as Manny the Drummer. I was the Original Drummer of Babylon Warriors, I played with various Reggae Groups, and I play regularly at Leimert Park. I just lost my mom, Grace Woods. I'm blessed that I was able to stay home with her and share time with her. Mom, I love you and will always be with me in my heart. Every time I play music, I know you are with me and know that every time I play music, I'm celebrating YOU

I want to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Good Samaritan Hospital & Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center for taking care of my mom and sending resources to the house to help her.
