My mother, Gloria Richardson, was a brave, loving, and caring woman who dedicated her life to helping others. She was well known in our community and served as a mother of the church, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to anyone in need. She raised her children, then helped raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and even adopted three other children, showing her boundless compassion and generosity. Gloria was the kind of person who would give up her own car for family to use, choosing to walk or take the bus herself. If someone was hungry or in need, she would give her last dollar without hesitation. Her faith and commitment to others were unwavering, and it was truly an honor to know her.

Recently, my mother went to a nursing home for rehab, expecting to return home soon. Unfortunately, due to an accident at the nursing home, her health declined rapidly, and she was sent to the hospital, where she passed away shortly after. To make matters more difficult, her insurance lapsed, and the other insurance company would not honor her policy, leaving us with unexpected final expenses. We want to honor her wishes for a traditional burial, provide clothing and flowers, and host a repass to celebrate her life and legacy.

Gloria touched so many lives with her kindness and generosity, and it is heartbreaking to lose her so soon. I am reaching out to friends, family, and our community for support to give her the farewell she truly deserves.
