Hello Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my moms GoFundMe page; I just wanted to take a moment to express how grateful we are for the love and support we've received from family & friends.
This past week and a half has been difficult, as I received the devastating news that my mom passed away on 10/27/2025.
If I could express how much she meant to me: She was my best friend, we talked almost everyday and she was our biggest cheerleader in both my and my littles brother lives. While the days feel gloomy, and the air feels thin.. We are finding small moments to smile, because we had such a strong mother in our lives and I know she's proud of us.
For those of you that may not have been as close to her, I would like to tell you a bit about her life:
Gloria ("Gigi") Cenon Graza (Figueroa), (56), was a very loving mother to her children: Dakota Kamalani Taum-Figueroa & D'Artagnan " "Kekoa" Taum-Figueroa, and very caring friend, sister and shining light to those in her life.
In effort to paint a full picture of just how incredible she was, I'd have to first share her biggest challenge, being that she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in her late 20's. This was a challenge we shared as a family, but definitely didn't stop us from making new memories and enjoying the simple things in life.
But that's not the most important part, what mattered the most was that she was always happy. Even despite those challenges that she faced, she continued to put an effort into being involved in both of her kids lives, taking on new hobbies, learning new skills, working and making the best out of every situation, with each moment we shared.
She was non-materialistic, and never cared for the latest or greatest new "thing". In fact, some of her favorite things in life, were just spending quality time with her kids exploring new places, spending time with family during Holiday cheer, listening to different kinds of music, playing with us in the arcades, sharing silly jokes or fun topics, meaningful talks on a long drive, and trying new foods whenever she had the chance. She also had fun going out with friends, while thrifting for the best finds and then instantly gifting those golden eggs to others in her life.
She worked incredibly hard, not only on herself, but also constantly supporting others by providing them comfort, positivity, and happiness. Not only has she touched many hearts, from close friends and family but also to the people she met on her daily adventures. She never did she fail to how much she cared about everyone, her main goal, was just to make someone smile for the day.
So, with all of the love she's has shared with us, and the heart she gave into everything she did, we are putting all of our effort to show her the same in return..by finally taking her on the vacation, that she never got to attend.
The funds being raised will go towards her cremation services, celebration of life and to cover the travel arrangements for her "Ho'olewa" ceremony that will take place in Hawaii in February 2026, where she will forever get to enjoy her dream vacation, until we all meet again.
Thank you.
