Honoring Gilbert Brenot: Funeral Support
Donation protected
Many of you knew our father, Gilbert Brenot well, but even if you didn’t, you eventually learned that he was a kind and generous man… with maybe a few interactions.
For over 40 years, Gilbert has made his mark with his French and Italian cuisine. His career started in 1986 here in Cleveland at the Lion and the Lamb. Maxi’s restaurant in Little Italy (former owner) was one of his most successful businesses. Gilbert finished his career at Serenite in Medina. There are many, many places in between, which I’m sure many of you can fill in.
He wasn’t just a chef; he was a father of 3 and a grandfather of 2. He has 2 brothers and family in France and was an “uncle” to many. He loved well and hard. We are saddened by his untimely death. There are no words to describe the loss that we feel. But unfortunately, even with his three children, we aren’t left with many resources. Which is why we are reaching out to our community and friends and to the people who loved him and who he loved to help us with the cost of the funeral and funeral arrangements.
All donations will go towards funeral costs and the celebration of life. We thank you so much for your sincere condolences and sympathies. We appreciate the outreach from our network of people who loved him within the community. The unconditional love and support through this tragic time is very much needed.
With much gratitude and appreciation
Chloe, Madeleine and Benjamin Brenot
