Honoring My Father’s Life and Legacy

It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my father—my hero, my protector, and my best friend George May Jr.

My dad was a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a standout athlete who played basketball at Bishop McDevitt High School and later at Penn. His dedication, discipline, and talent defined his athletic journey. Yet, as impressive as his accomplishments in sports were, they pale in comparison to the man he was as a father.

My father sacrificed everything for me. He struggled greatly at times, often putting his own needs aside just to keep a roof over our heads while I matriculated through school. He carried the weight quietly, always choosing love, perseverance, and sacrifice so I could have a chance at a better future. His strength shaped who I am today.

As we prepare to say goodbye, I am asking for support to help cover his funeral expenses so we can honor him in a way worthy of the life he lived and the love he gave. Any contribution—no matter the amount—will help ease this burden and allow us to celebrate him with dignity and respect.
