On March 15, 2026, my dear cousin, Genaro Caro Jr.—who we lovingly called Kenny—lost his life in a tragic car accident while driving home from work in Dinuba. Genaro was a devoted father to his daughter, Melody Jay Caro, and he dreamed of watching her grow up to be successful. Life can change in the blink of an eye, and on his way home from work, a Chevy Tahoe collided with his passenger side, causing a traumatic head injury that took his life instantly.
Genaro wasn’t a perfect person—he made mistakes in his teenage years—but everything changed when he became a father. He worked hard to turn his life around for Melody, and his love for his family was always clear. My family is heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we are doing our best to support each other through this unimaginable time.
Funds from this fundraiser will help my Aunt Sylvia with funeral costs immensely. Anything helps, and every donation will go directly toward honoring Genaro’s memory and supporting his family. My family wants everyone to know that we are immensely grateful and blessed to have the support of our community during this difficult and scary time. Growing up, my cousin Kenny was my best friend and babysitter—he never told me no to ice cream, to going to the store for a toy, or tagging along with him wherever he went. My aunt Sylvia wants everyone to know that she will forever be thankful and will always remember the kindness from the community. While we might think of ourselves as safe drivers, we never know what might happen while on the road, so please continue to be safe and to watch out for yourself and other people. Thank you for your support, love, and prayers.
