Honoring Gavin: Support for Kim's Family

Hello,

I wanted to start this gofundme to help my sister Kim & her family. Kim unexpectedly lost her son Gavin last night. No parent should have to bury their child. The heartbreak and pain are unbearable! This will help ease their minds a little and offset the costs of funeral & memorial expenses.

Gavin was just 21 years old and still so full of life & had made so many plans for his future! He had such a quick wit, was super smart, and always tested academically way above average. He had further testing to determine that he was indeed a gifted child! He enjoyed sports, especially baseball & basketball, had a mad shoe game & loved Hawaiian shirts & looking sharp! He was everyone’s hero going through the challenges of Type 1 diabetes. His amazing Mom & wonderful nurse found him a diabetic Alert Dog (D.A.D. dog) to help him get through the new challenges as a young child. They went through so many doctors visits, specialists, & devices to find him the best to try and make his life easier.

He leaves behind his Mom, Kim Barkelew/Joel, his Father Duane, two younger twin brothers Blake & Chase, and two sisters - Shae & Alahna, loving grandparents, numerous Aunts/Uncles, cousins, and friends!
