We are raising funds to support my mother as she faces the heartbreaking loss of her husband and our father, Gary Smith, who was the rock of our family. He lost the battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) on February 25, 2026, after fighting it for 2 years after diagnosis.

As the primary provider, he took care of everything, and his passing has left her not only with a heavy heart, as they were high school sweethearts and married for 52 years, but also with significantly reduced income. We are hoping to help bridge the gap during this difficult transition for her so she can focus on healing without the immediate worry of how she is going to financially take care of his burial and other living expenses. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly to helping her get by during this uncertain time.

Gary was an amazing father, husband, son and neighbor. Always helping out in anyway he could for anyone who needed it. Hopefully now in this time of need he is shown the same love and treatment.
