Gary Glen Bennett passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 8, 2025. Born on February 17, 1951, to his late parents Glen and Joan Bennett, Gary was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his brother Mike, his sister Shelley, his son Andrew, his three daughters Becky, Laura, and Kelsey, his five granddaughters Aubrey, Gracelyn, Savannah, Penny, and Lucy, his grandson Caden, and his loyal cat Buddy. As a proud Marine, Gary was a well-known member of the Pahrump, NV community. He was an active member of his church’s worship team, a regular at Moose Lodge 808, and the founder of the Pahrump chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, providing beds for children in need. If you knew Gary, you knew he made everyone feel like his best friend and was always willing to show up for others. He loved golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. His faith in God, humor, and unrelenting dad jokes will live on through his children, for which we all greatly apologize. His presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but we are grateful that he is finally at rest. One thing he often said was “Always leave a place better than the way you found it”, and no doubt the impact he has had on his community is a great testament to his faithfulness in following that. We are raising funds to help cover end of life expenses and to help keep things afloat while we go through the lengthy process of closing out his estate. This support will help lighten the financial burden on our family as we grieve and honor his memory.
