Garry was an Englishman who took a leap of faith, leaving his home to come to New York City to build a life with me. That decision led to 29 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to family. Every moment he was with us, his love, pride, and devotion were clear. He was truly a good man in every sense of the word—someone who gave his all in everything he did. As a husband, he was devoted and steady. As a father to Elizabeth and William, he loved them deeply and was always proud of who they were becoming. As a friend, he was loyal and genuine—the kind of person who showed up without being asked. His friendships meant the world to him, and he valued those connections deeply.

Garry believed in connection in all its forms. He understood that sometimes the people we meet—whether near or far—can see us, support us, and stand beside us in ways that truly matter. He treasured those bonds, especially the friendships built through shared moments, conversations, and simply being there for one another. Garry lived his life with quiet strength and integrity, always doing his utmost for the people he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will never be forgotten.
