It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the devastating news that our dear friend Garrett Pearson passed away unexpectedly at just 30 years old following a tragic accident during MARSOC training off the coast of South Florida.
There are simply no words that can describe this heartbreak.
Garrett was an amazing friend, a devoted husband, but most of all an incredible father. His greatest joy was his family - his wife, Autumn, and their two beautiful little girls, Maisie (3), and Hazel, who will celebrate her first birthday in December. He loved them so deeply. His role as a "girl dad" was the most important thing to him.
Garrett was the friend you always had in your corner, accompanied by his audibly extraordinary laugh and goofy smile.
Autumn is now facing an unimaginable reality, having to grieve the love of her life while navigating life as a single mother to two very young daughters. On top of the emotional devastation, there are immediate and unexpected financial burdens, along with many costs that come with suddenly losing a husband and father.
We are asking our family, friends, community, and anyone whose heart is touched by this story to help comfort Autumn and her girls during this incredibly difficult time.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease some of the financial burden Autumn is facing and allow her to focus on what matters most right now- grieving Garrett, caring for Maisie and Hazel, and helping her beautiful little girls through the loss of their father.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Every share, prayer, message, and act of kindness means more than we can put into words.
Garrett’s life was far too short, but the love he gave his family and friends and the memories he created with them will live on forever. We hope that by surrounding Autumn, Maisie, and Hazel with love and support, we can help carry them through the days ahead. Thank you for loving and supporting this beautiful family during the hardest chapter of their lives.
Rest in paradise Garrett. You were so deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
