Honoring Frutoso Moreno: Funeral & Family Support

We lost my uncle Frut after a long battle with cancer, and we want to honor him with a service that truly reflects his spirit. Frut was loud, funny, and always the life of the party—someone who made a lasting impression on everyone he met. His passing has left a big hole in our family, and we want to give his friends and loved ones a chance to come together, share memories, and celebrate his life.

We’re planning a funeral service at the First Congregational Methodist Church of Elkhart on July 5th, from 11 am to 5 pm. Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming space filled with photos, stories, and laughter—just the way Frut would have wanted. The funds raised will help cover the cremation service, donating to the church that is letting us use their space to have this service, an urn, printed photos, decorations, and food for everyone attending. Any support will go directly toward making this day special for all who loved him.

If we receive more than we need for the service, the extra funds will go to my nana, Frut’s mom. She has given everything she had to support him through his illness, and we want to help ease some of the financial burden she’s carried. Thank you for helping us remember Frut and support our family during this difficult time.
