It is with heavy hearts that we have to say our goodbyes to our beloved Frank Higgins. A phenomenally talented musician, a loving father to his son, Cody and his step children, Sarah, Katy, Rachel and Carly, a supportive brother to his sisters Pat and Mary, a friend to anyone who needed one, the most caring grandfather to his 12 grandchildren, and not an atom less than a blessing to his Wife, Karen.
Whether you knew him from high school, followed one of his bands, or even spent one evening chatting with him, you know how lively and passionate he was about making the best out of every situation. Frank was a problem solver and a forward thinker, and always spent his days doing everything he could do to help his family and friends without ever being asked to, with every tool in his belt. Frank was innovative and creative when faced with a challenge. He never turned away from a problem and never took "not possible" as an answer. Without him, our home and our hearts are empty. Without his laughter, his quick wit, and his reassuring voice, it feels like life will never be the same.
This past month has been nothing but a roller coaster of bad news mixed with glimmers of false hope. It has been deeply devastating to navigate and has taken it's toll on those who are survived by him.
Karen not only lost a husband, a best friend, a partner, a bandmate, and the other half of her soul, she lost her entire livelihood while gaining a mountain of financial worry. We hope to take the burden of his medical bills off of her plate and provide her with a miracle to let her know she's not alone. We hope to honor his life with the celebration he deserves. We hope to make the best out of the situation as Frank would.
We greatly appreciate donations, kind words, or to keep Frank's friends and family in your thoughts while we process the tragedy of this loss we are experiencing.
The day the music died
Rest peacefully, Frank
