Donation protected
The beloved matriarch Francine Catron Williams passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 98. In 2005, Francine was widowed by her husband of just shy of 56 years, Albert Williams. Her life was full of many achievements and passions, but the most remarkable to witness was her love for her family.
Francine is survived by her son, Doug Williams, and her grandchildren, Scott and Cherille Williams. She is also survived by her extended family members: Addie Catron-Hume, Robert Catron, Jolene Catron, her children, Sherice Catron, Gabriela Catron, Bealon, Gabriela Ramero, Estabon Romero, Monica Williams-Eriacho, Kole Eriacho, Robert Catron, Ben Catron's children, Mike Nez, Latham Nez, Shawna Whitefield and children, Tyah Nez, April Claw, Grason Claw, and Alberto Begaye.
In the weeks leading up to her passing, Francine fought a hip injury and pneumonia while surrounded by her family. As a demonstration of both grandchildren's respect and love for her, Cherille and Scott have spent the last few days collaborating with other family members to ensure her final wishes come to fruition. These wishes include a burial in Mexican Springs on the Navajo Nation and services within the four days of her passing.
The funds raised on Francine's behalf will help Cherille and Scott pay for all fees related to these services, including a headstone.
Francine dedicated the last years of her life to her grandchildren and volunteer work at the Northside Senior Center in Gallup, NM. Before that, her eclectic resume included secretarial work for various offices around the Gallup area, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the University of New Mexico, and the Navajo Nation. Francine also starred in the television shows Longmire and Chambers, where we can now watch her forever memorialized.
The family extends deep gratitude for all of the prayers and support. Francine Catron Williams will forever be beloved by so many.
