Honoring Fernando Medina: Funeral & Memorial Fund

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved father, Fernando Medina Herrera, who left us on February 20th, 2025. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend, always bringing warmth, wisdom, and kindness to those around him. His presence was a blessing to everyone who knew him, and his loss is deeply felt.

For the past year, my dad was suffering from Pulmonary Fibrosis and we were on the path to getting him a lung transplant that would save his life. One of the requirements for him to become a lung transplant candidate was a Cardiac Catheterization. It was during this procedure on January 30th, that there was a complication, and his heart stopped. The surgical team was able to revive him but his heart was damaged and in need of a long recovery. Unfortunately, his heart had sustained too much damage and his health rapidly declined. On February 20th, he passed peacefully accompanied by me and my sister Yesenia.

During this difficult time, we want to honor my dad with a funeral and memorial service that reflects the love and respect he deserves. As we navigate this unexpected loss, we are reaching out for support to help cover the funeral expenses, memorial arrangements, and any additional costs to ease the burden on our family.
