Lorraine "Fawn" (Vanderhoop) Fantasia passed on peacefully in rest, surrounded by her family, on November 6, 2025. Known by her close friends and family as Fawn, she was born June 22, 1955, in Bath, NY, to Edwin Devries Vanderhoop and Gloria Eudora Fisk.

Fawn is survived by her husband, Edward Fantasia; children, Tobias J. Vanderhoop, Edward M. Fantasia, Thomas J. A. Fantasia, and Elsie C. C. Scott; and her two grandchildren, Lincoln and Alina Scott. She’s also survived by her mother, Gloria E. Fisk, and siblings Anita M. Keegan, Leonard C. Vanderhoop, Edwin J. Vanderhoop, Cheryl L. Vanderhoop, and Gertrude “Trudy” E. Garvin.

Fawn was a kind and generous woman, willing to lend a helping hand, a kind word, and a fervent prayer to any who was in need. As a woman of faith and service to her community, she served in the capacities of deaconess for the Gay Head Baptist Church and as a Councilwoman for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah). She was also known as a skilled scallop shucker and artisan, crafting necklaces out of the very shells she shucked, as well as ribbon shirts. Fawn always loved sharing and discussing scripture, whether it was with family, friends, or strangers.

She will be remembered for being a kind and strong spirit, full of love, compassion, and faith. She now rests lovingly in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
