Honoring Esther- a Mother, a Fighter, a Chicana Warrior
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, a proud Chicana from the South Side of San Jose. Our mom, Esther, is the heart of our family, our rock. A mother of eight, a grandmom of four, a faithful wife to the only man she’s been with since 17, a daughter, a sister to one, and an aunt. She wasn’t just our mom—she was a caretaker, a friend, and a helping hand to ANYONE who needed it.
For the past month she has fought with everything in her, but now, Jesus Christ has called her home. As we face this heartbreaking reality and say our last goodbyes, we want to honor her the way she deserves. She was always the first to show up, always ready to give, and always full of love even through her personal struggles. From marching for what’s right in the César Chávez parades to guiding T.E.E.N.M.O.M.S to standing tall for her family and community—a woman of strength and resilience with a heart of gold. She always fought for what was right.
We’re asking for support from our community to help us cover the funeral expenses that come with this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the burden on our family as we navigate this immense loss. If you can’t donate, please share.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this time.
Thank you for being a part of her story.
